What does it cost? HEA Fees

Fees to the HEA are derived from two sources:

  1. Each Recognised Product Group
  2. The licensed exporters

1.  Product Group Fees: 

The fees are calculated on the basis of a mix of fixed fee and floating fee (reflecting export value)

Minimum Fees are allocated as follows ($ per annum):

Annual Forex of Product Group

  1. Category I Over $20 million $15,000
  2. Category II Between $15 and $20 million $13,500
  3. Category III Between $10 and $15 million $12,000
  4. Category IV Between $5 and $10 million $ 9,000
  5. Category V Between $1 and $5 million $ 5,600
  6. Category VI Less than $1 million $ 1,000

Floating Fee Component : The sliding scale is as follows:

  1. For the first $20 million Forex earnings 0.096% is charged
  2. For the next $20 million Forex earnings 0.0355% is charged
  3. For Forex earnings over $40 million 0.01% is charged

 

2. Export Licensing Fees (paid by the individual exporter):

HEA fees are set by regulation (current regulation passed in 2002) and set the fees as follows:

  • Licence annual fee (monitoring and compliance) up to $1500
  • Application fee for new licence up to $2,500
  • Application for additional licence $500
  • Application fee for exemption from export licensing up to $250
  • Application fee for exemption from Export Marketing Strategy up to $250
